How do we create a memorable theme that expresses TED’s value of ideas worth sharing, during one of the most divisive times in American history?
Everyone's view point is determined by experiences, upbringing, location and a number of other factors. How you see the world varies so much from your perspective. TED has never been about forcing viewpoints, but rather sharing different ideas and coming together.
Challenge people to see two different viewpoints... literally. By having various designs that invites users to move to see different messages, we will get the point across that opposing stances are determined by one’s perspective. And, where you stand matters.
We created a set of posters whose full message was revealed when people stood at the right perspective. The pair were placed all around the city.
Lenticular environmental displays were created and placed in various events, including the night of TEDx KC.
A video conveyed our theme and was used as the opener to the talks.
T-shirts, badges, programs and other materials got the point out the night of the event.
